Standard Form-
aX + bY=c (Formula)
aX + bY=3
-3             -3
-3X + bY=3
x-1 x-1   x-1
3x + -Y=-3
-First you write your formula down, then you subtract by three. (-by3 because it's the slope.)
-Then you write down your first result. Once you have that done you then multiply by negative one because you can't have a negative in the front of an equation in standard form.
-Then you do the math and have the answer.
                Solving Formulas-
A=(B1+B2)H
2A= (B1+B2)H
 H             H
2A= B1=B2
H
2A=B2-B1
H

-When solving this equation for area you multiply the A by 2.
-Then you divide by H on both sides.
-Then the parenthesies and H on the outside of them are gone.
-Now all that is left is to switch the
B1 and the B2 's around and subtract  and thus being the answer.
              Worksheet Problems- (P.S)
Slope=3  Through (2,9)
Y2-Y1=m( X2-X1 )
Y-9=3(X-2)

-Your slope (3) is given to you already, as well as your point, (2,9).  By having your slope and point already you just have to plug them into your equation.
-Once your numbers are substituted in the equation you are finished and have now done the Point Slope formula.
