Linear Equation

  Examples by: Brandon Harris
1. T=2-2(2T-3(1-T))

2. T=2-2(2T-3+3T)

 3. T=2-4T+3-6T

4. T=2-10T+6

5. 11T=8

6. T=.73

1. Given equation

2. Distribute the 1 & T to the 3

3. Now distribute the 2T, -3, & 3T

4. Add the -4T & -6T

5. Add the 10T to both sides of the equal side
6. Divid the 11 to both sides

Literal Equation

Wait that's not all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stopppppppppppppppppppppp!!
1. M=(Y2-Y1)
         (X2-X1)
2. (X2-X1)M=Y2-Y1

3. X2-X1=Y2-Y1
                   M
4. -X1=Y2-Y1-X2
               M
5. X=X2-(Y2-Y1)
                    M

1. Given equation

2. Multiply both sides by (X2-X1)

3. Divid both sides by M

4. Subtract both sides by X2

5. Divid both sides by -1

Line Equation

O.K. this is it I promise!!!!!!!!!! I hope you like lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. With slope = 3 through (2, 9)

2. Y-9=3(X-3)

3.Y=3X+3

4. 3X-Y=-3

1. Given equation

2. Plug in the numbers into the point-slope form  Y2-Y1=M(X2-X1)
3. Plug in the numbers into the slope intercept form   Y=MX+B
4. Subtract 3X from both sides, then times everything by -1

 thats all folks!!!!!
