Taylor's Math Domain

7y - 4 + 2y  = 6y + 11
+ 4             + 4
7y + 2y = 6y +15
- 6y           - 6y
3y  = 15
3       3
y = 5
This is the equation that you start with.
You must first add 4 to each side.
This is what you get.
Then you subtract 6y from each side.
This is the remaining equation.
Now divide by 3.
This is the answer.
PV = 1/3 mnc2  solve for m
                                   x 3      x 3
                                   3PV = mnc2
                   take the sqare root of both sides
           square root of 3PV = mnc
                                  nc        nc
         square root of 3PV = m
                        nc

This is the original equation.
Multiply each side by 3.
That takes care of the 1/3.
Then take the square root of both sides.
Now that got rid of the exponent.
Divide each side by nc.
Now you have the m by itself and your finished!

Now we can try to find the slope of a line through the points (1,3) and (2,5)
We must first use the formula for slope. Y2 - Y1
                                                                               X2 - X1
Now plug the numbers into the eqation.
                                                                               5 - 3
                                                           2 - 1
This then simplifies into 2
                                   1
The slope of the line is 2.
