Solving Literal Equations for a Variable

I'll be honest. I don't like literal equations. They're confusing. But here's an easy one. We'll solve for V.

This is the Kinetic Theory Equation. I have no idea what that means, but you don't have to know to solve for a variable. PV=1/3mnc2
First step is to get rid of P from the other side. This is the only real step. PV = 1/3mnc2
/P          /P
Ok, now that P is gone we're pretty much done. Take a moment to realize that we don't have to know the numbers to manipulate the variables. V = (1/3mnc2)/P
In fact, we've already solved for P so we have finished. V = (1/3mnc2)/P
