1) The first step to sovling the equation to the right is to add 2 to both sides.	7x - 2=8x + 2             + 2       + 2         7x = 8x + 4
2) The second step is even easier. Take away 8x from both sides.	7x = 8x + 4       -8x   -8x       -1x = 4
3) Now all you have to do is divide both sides by -1.	-1x = 4         /      /        -1    -1
4) And here is the answer:	x = -4
