This is a place in south west China called Tiger Leaping Gorge. It's called that because a legend says that the gorge, or canyon, is so narrow that a tiger once leaped across the river at the bottom to get a goat that was on the other side. You see that the farmers have made the steep hillside into terraces, so they can grow things there.


Here is a very happy Mr. Rowen, hiking through Tiger Leaping Gorge. It had enormous rocky mountains rising up each side of the gorge, thousands of feet above the river, far below. It was great.
