            Malcolm X, a man, who was honest beyond belief, transformed his life to find the roots of the black race, which lead him to Islam and then to inspire the nation to face one of histories horrible truths. In the “Autobiography of Malcolm X” we see how Malcolm X transforms his life from, a nobody to a somebody, with the truth.  In section 168-171 we see that Malcolm X’s purpose is to prove that the statement “white men is the devil” and to given an explanation of where white people come from and also the reason why they are so evil. Malcolm does this by specific type of arguments and we will go in depth to see how credible these are.

 

            The only type of argument that Malcolm X uses is argument by authority. He does this by using Elijah Muhammad teachings to justify his argument that “the white man is the devil”. In this section Elijah Muhammad teaches Malcolm X about Yacub’s History. He teaches that the first human beings were black people who were living peacefully under Allah. Then Yacub decided to make white people out of black people, which he knew that “as they become lighter, and weaker, progressively also more susceptible to wickedness and evil… he (had achieved) the intended bleached-out white race of devils”pg169. This white devils then destroyed and brought chaos where ever they stepped foot.

 

            Malcolm X use argument by authority again, when he uses the Bible to prove his argument. This time we see him talk about Moses and how Moses was sent by Allah to civilize the white devils. According to Malcolm X the Bible says “Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,” pg 170. The serpent symbolizes the white race that Moses lifted up from the caves and then civilized them. This argument is strong because you can go to the Bible and found that it does say that.

 

            When Malcolm X learned about Yacub history, he also learned that the first men were black people and that other race came from the black people. He learned that these ancient people had made great civilization and before they knew these devils had “turned what had been a peaceful heaven on earth into a hell torn by quarreling and fighting” pg 169. He found that his ancestors were intellectual people who were able to make some of the first greatest civilization but the evil hearted bleached out race destroyed what they had and later on enslaved them with their lies.  

 

One of the Stated assumptions was that Yacub was “born to create trouble, to break the peace, and to kill” pg 168. That’s why he was able to create such evil cold hearted people. Malcolm X also stated that the reason that Yacub had made these evil devils was because he was “embittered toward Allah… as revenge… (He) created’’ them. pg. 168 Form the beginning you can see that Yacub was evil.

 

In the end we see that this story was the main reason that Malcolm X becomes a Muslim. From this he became intrigued which lead him to find proof that supported the story of Yacub’s history. Even thought Yacub was an extremely smart scientist. We see that he became mad with Allah and made the white devils. These was the cause of the Black race sufferage one man with angry problem.
