Our New Sunroom
This was the project of 2003.  I designed our patio in 1997 with the intent of enclosing it with a Sunroom to be custom manufactured by Patio Enclosures, Inc.  We had hoped to do this in 1999, but GG would not come inside.  It took the fights and associated vet bills in 2002 to finally get him inside.  The enclosure and vertical blinds were manufactured and installed by Patio Enclosures.  The floor was designed and installed by Molyneaux of Cranberry Township.  Landscaping designed and installed by Little's Lawn Care of Mars, PA.  Landscape lighting, ceiling fan, rope lighting and speaker installation (and wiring) by me.
Looking straight in from the back yard.  There are two 8-foot sliding glass doors and two 2-foot fixed panels, one on each side.  The two doors open towards the outside from the center column.  The lights are Intermatic Architectural Grade - Bollards and spot lights.  Inkberry hollies, rhododendron/azalea hybrids on corners, two spirea, a dogwood and an Alberta spruce.  Bed is river gravel.
Looking from the lower corner.  A better look at the Kousa dogwood and golden flame spireas.  There are several blue hollies, a large hemlock and a sand cherry to the extreme left - most are out of the picture.  The lower side has a six foot slider that opens towards the corner and an eight foot slider next to the house that opens away from the house for access to the permanent-mount natural gas Ducane grill, located on the 6' x 6' patio extension.
Looking from the upper corner.  Better look at the Alberta spruce and the hybrid.  The older landscaping (from 1997) in this picture was also done by Little's, and includes an upright holly, China boy & girl hollies, sand cherries and a magnolia.  The upper side has a six foot slider that opens towards the corner and an eight foot slider next to the house that opens towards the house.  The pre-cast steps provide the only convenient access from outside.
The ceiling fan is an indoor/outdoor model by Harbor Breeze.  The chimes are Tudor Rose Chimes (Queen) by Woodstock Chimes.  The skylights are tinted blue and block the UV rays.
The floor is porcelain tile, as the sunroom is actually a three-season design.  This means that it is not heated.  The glazed porcelain tiles are frost resistant.  They are American Olean tile - Quartzite Brasiliana in Alegre Green and Rio Red.  (No , it is not "Allegre" - the word is Portugese, not Italian!)
The vertical blinds.  They are a copper-tinted beige with a leaf print.  They are plastic because of potential moisture and easy clean-up.  Not that cat fur would cling to cloth blinds or anything...
