Grey Guy's Photo Page
This is what our GG looked like when he first showed up at our back door in 1996.  Very skinny and battle scarred.  And he would disappear for days at a time when a female would go in heat.
This is what neutering and a diet of Iams hard and soft food will do.  He is much healthier and has some "strategic reserve" on him now.  We are very good at providing that reserve!
Of course, I still have the hunting instinct.  Pumpkin caught a chipmunk and brought it back to the patio for us to play with.  Until she decided it was time for a "Scooter Snack" and ate it!
Pumpkin and I were buddies.  We were both "homeless" until we met Diane & Chris.  We stayed in the houses of the plan while they were being built.  Neither of us liked men with tool belts much - they used to chase us off.  Dad even scares me whenever he gets hand or power tools out!
This used to be my favorite sleeping spot, except in winter.  It is right outside the sliding glass door.  Mom and Dad used to keep a stool next to it (usually) to sit down upon and pet or brush me.  I am now tame, and I live in the garage.
A more recent picture of our Snickelfritz.  That is GG's nickname.  It is Pennsylvania Dutch for "rowdy child" - and he becomes one if you are late with his (soft food) dinner!

Here is Snickelfritz playing with his towels.  We would leave them out there so that he did not have to sit outside on the cold concrete while looking in.  He has come to feel as if this is his home.  For good reason.  It is now!
After two fights and darn near $1000 in vet bills in the Spring of 2002, GG came to live in the garage and basement.  No more fights for him.  He loves it there - it is his hood.  If we bring him upstairs or take him to the Sunroom, he can't wait to get back to his 'Hood.  He shares the basement with foster cats when we have one - he stays in the garage and the foster cat gets the basement.  He loves to sit on the back of the cars and look out the garage door windows.  He even has his own perch that rests against one of the garage doors.  One happy kitty!
