This page is dedicated to the various cats that we have fostered. So far, there have been three.
1) Sweat Pea was living outside of Diane's office in Brighton Township, PA. A co-worker took her home for her mother and father.
2) PJ was rescued by our cat sitter, Cathy Sterling. His mother was going to a nursing home and could not take him along. Our friend and Diane's co-worker Karen adopted him!
3) Mr. Whiskers was rescued by a good friend of mine. She tried for over a month to find his owner, to no avail. A very friendly, affectionate and playful one-year old male. He went to a Animal Friends in late July 2003, and was adopted out within a month.
4) Dinah came to us from a co-worker of Diane's. Her daughters found her being tormented by some neighborhood boys and rescued her. Unfortunately, the family had two dogs and could not keep her, much to the daughter's chagrin. We decided to foster her until we could either find her a home or get her into Animal Friends in Pittsburgh. Dinah was originally named "Turbo Micro Squirt" - she was about 5 weeks old and weight about 1 pound, 4 ounces, and had fleas. |
