Forgotten harmony

1 - ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - NIGHT

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE sits in the bath, crouched over, a shaft of darkness shadowing his face. His distinguishing features un undistinguishable by the frozen gloom circling around. Outside we hear frozen winds lash upon the side of his isolated shelter. We zoom in on the shadow, the void that isn�t a face. A voice over tears through the ambience of dripping into the murky bath tub.

    VOICE OVER (MYSTERIOUS FIGURE)
I am a blip in the Universe. My puny body accounts for merely 3m of it�s vast quantity, yet that is all I care about. I was not born infront of a red carpet. Nor I am not subjected to the outside ideals that were manufactured by your world. Plastic concepts that have no meaning - survival is life and you need life to survive. Life to destroy, consume, for nourishment. The death of the weak fuels the blood of the strong.

2 STOCK FOOTAGE

CUT to nature documentary footage showing species hunting each other down. Shots of butchers and people picking flowers. The flowers start to scream. Vegetables are up rooted, bacteria infects other cells. A Lion drags down a wildebeest.

3 - ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - NIGHT

As we left it. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE in the bath surrounded by darkness.

    V/O
Kill to live. Everyone is mortal, just some forget.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE starts to tear up a human arm with a watch on it that he produces from under the water of the bath.

TITLE - �Forgotten harmony�. The sound of a lone flute plays.

4 - HILLTOP - EXTERIOR - DAY

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE casually observes the SCRUFFY man playing the tune at the top of the hill. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is wearing a dark monk like coat that stretches over his body and conceals his identity.

     V/O
For years I have roamed this earth. Flirting amongst the artificial chaos of the new race. Those with the momentary hold on the top of the fight for survival, prosperity, �progression�, society. Once they were weak, vulnerable, their tune weaving through an intricate fabric. In their eyes they have grown higher than the fabric. Nature was made for them, they weren�t made from nature. The tune of their ways drowns out the desperate pleas of the other billions of instruments wailing for survival, trying to be strong. Fighting to be heard over the din of mankind.

The SCRUFFY man plays a overpowering melody, floating through the landscape. Pan across to a city, the melody is getting stronger.

5 CITY - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

     V/O
The world has never been silent. A melody of death and dominance has stalked every sunset.

Pan down from the urban mass to a back yard. Zoom in on a rabbit - it is in a hutch. To it�s sheer displeasure it gets picked up by a fox who breaks in.

     VOICE OVER (MP)
Foxes are no cuddly toys. They kill, they maim and destroy the farmers livelihood. Ripping up the essence of life. There needs to be a balance in the countryside.....

6 HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT - INTERIOR - DAY

MP continues his speech to the commons.

......we need control. Farmers want to be protected from these pests. And....Madam speaker traditional blood sports has been effectively doing this for centuries.

     MP2
Just because it is the way it is, doesn�t mean it is the way it should be.

General groans of MPs wanting to go home. Someone snores. Zoom in on it.

8 ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - NIGHT

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is curled up by his black bath. Asleep and off guard. The camera spirals in and we see into his mind, his thoughts, what he�s dreaming.

9 HILL - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

Lines and lines of MYSTERIOUS FIGUREs line up against the horizon influtrated with burning fires. They chant �the time is coming.�  Some of them start to hum and pick up sticks with fire on them. In the middle of the circle there is a pile of food that they seem to be tearing apart, human flesh.

10 ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - NIGHT

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE wakes up with a jolt and grasps his stomach. A quick glance at the bath. Then he hears a feint melody, which is interspersed with images of the dominance of man, he starts to scream and rip apart things in his shelter. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE crouches in a corner and starts to cough violently.

     V/O
Planet earth - soon to be the planet slab. The pollution is choking me

NATIVE AMERICAN COLONY - EXTERIOR - DAY

The plesent harmonous colony. Suddenly loads of white invaders come and shoot them. 

     V/O (MYSTERIOUS FIGURE)
They�re deforming the landscape, eating up the countryside and spitting out tarmac, shattering realms of life. Diseasing their surroundings, poisoning the ground that feeds so many. Invading the billions of pools of life, teeming but easily stagnant. Blinded by the torture of a single note. Organising the jumble of life, trying to tame the wildest beast of all. I was here before this technolgy and commotion. I have seen them come of age.

Images of space junk, deserts, deforestation and cans found in the artic. It�s true they found rubbish there - I saw it on Blue Peter. People invading red indian�s space. A native American setting dissolves into a westernised city.

11 CAVES - EXTERIOR - DAY

A small mammel is being stalked by MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. He pounces on it. In the next shot MYSTERIOUS FIGURE sits in a cave munching on the small mammal, casually watching other mammels go about their business. By the magic of special effects a creature evolve into a caveman before our eyes. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE�s attention is fixed with curiosity at the new race that has arisen before him, out of the embers of the small surrounding mammels. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE puts down a small mammal he�s half eaten. In the next shot the CAVEMAN is attacked and dragged into a cave, high upon the ridge.

12 BRONZE AGE SWORD FIGHT

     V/O
They do not see how limited this power and dominance really is. Blocked by their manufactorered way of life. Locked in their own rules and power struggles. Busy thinking about themselves and not others.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE kills both sword fighters by banging their heads together. He drags their bodies into the cave that is littered with rotting flesh. He rips bit off the carcass and throws them into a black pool.

MONTARGE SEQUENCE

SHOTS OF KILLING THROUGH THE AGES by a MYSTERIOUS FIGURE in a black robe.
cool murders. Stealing bodies hanging in the breeze.  In a graveyard MYSTERIOUS FIGURE kills two grave diggers and throws bits of them in the grave. In a village MYSTERIOUS FIGURE kills a �bring out your dead� cart man, flings the driver in the back and makes off with the contents.

     V/O
Centuries of frenzied tearing of flesh then retreating into seclude, sheltering from their dictated tune of the planet. It was weak but then the melody grew, with technology to shelter them from the real world. Consuming the flesh of what was around them.

HILL - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

The ravenous MYSTERIOUS FIGURES fight over the remaining scraps of perished flesh. They look at the camera fiercely and hungrily. Patting their stomachs and starting to scream.

ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - WIND SWEPT EVENING

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE wakes up immediatly.

ISOLATED HUT - EXTERIOR - WIND SWEPT EVENING

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is set against the harsh, open wilderness.

     V/O
It had been 156 days since my last catch. It was time to hunt again.

RURAL HOUSE - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

A rustle as a fox apprehends a bunch of chickens. They are squarking and squealing in the moonlight, clucking too. An interior light is switched on in the farmhouse, obviously arose from the sound of the commotion (not a Kylie Manogue song). A FARMER is in bed with his WIFE. We tilt down from a shot of him clambering out of  bed and grabbing his shotgun to the blackened face of the MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. He seems alert and steps into the nearby shadows. The FARMER lurches towards the shed and the fox scurries away, dead chicken in his mouth. A crack echoes around the valley as FARMER�s gun is detonated and the bullets home in on the fleeing animal, missing the terrified animal who drops his catch. More shots are fired, in anger more than accuracy. Tilt up from the shadow to the bedroom window. Focus on the attempts at the FARMER to ward off the fox and assess the damage to his livestock. Inside we hear a muffled scream. FARMER looks up to see a black figure hoisting the crippled body of his WIFE onto his shoulder. FARMER looks in shock before rushing back to the house.

FARMHOUSE - INTERIOR - NIGHT

Inside we see the darkend figure of MYSTERIOUS FIGURE in the lit bedroom. We hear the FARMER running up the stairs and follow his asent up the stairs. The tension and anger spilling over him. He reaches the top of the stairs, jittering and agitant. A dark figure is swinging from the rafters on the landing. He notices it with the corner of his eye, in the darkness he detects the movement and fires two shots into the darkness that hit the figure that falls to the ground with a muffled bump. He steps forward to inspect the prey which is now impaled on the floor. A shaft of light discovers the face of his WIFE. He weeps in pain for a moment but from the nearby shadows pounces the MYSTERIOUS FIGURE, smothering his body with barbaric instinct and tearing apart the helpless FARMER.

HILL - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

The bodies of FARMER and FARMERs WIFE are slung in a heap in the middle of the circle.
Whords of MYSTERIOUS FIGUREs dance around, the fire�s getting cold but after the introduction of the corpses has renewed vigor. �Feed, feed on the blood of the future� the chant for a moment. At the same time they all devower the bodies. A sound of scratching infects the airwaves. It seems artifical, as if it belongs to another world.

ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - NIGHT

The scratching persists as MYSTERIOUS FIGURE regains some form of consciousness scratching on the door. Aroused and curious he stands near the door of the hut, armed with a nearby stick. He stands in a twatting position as the scratching persists. Eerily he opens the door, slightly at first, prepared to make a lethal swoop at whatever may be outside. Outside is a fox. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE�s guard is lifted and he opens the door fully, lets it in and gives it some meat.

UNIVERSITY LECTURE HALLS- INTERIOR - daY

STUDENT recites a little poem by Yoko Ono.

STUDENT
We lost our green land, We lost our clean air, We lost our true wisdom, We live in despair.

We whip pan across to another part of the building. A philosphy lesson in which the unlikely named MR TROUT has the floor. After the establishing of the voice over we Microbes in a dish. Mice in cages. Humans injecting mice in cages for science. Cows being milked by large metal machinery.

Only a few pockets of purity remain. The hope of many is quashed by the greedy few.

     MR TROUT
Life, life is everywhere. In the air we breathe, the water we drink on the skin inside us. Mites, bacteria, viruses, funguses, beetles, louces, trees, mice, bees, man. Who judges that mice life is less than man�s life? A mouse might have really important things to do. The man�s eyes are all he can see through. Who knows how a seal thinks? Who knows how to judge it?

We pan across from MR TROUT to the agriculture course. It is being taught by MR CHAIR.
In the next shot MR CHAIR is teaching his students how to kill cattle, demostrating with a cattle killing device - it�s kind of like a gun where a piece of metal extends out of it into the cows head. This is all within the confinds of lecture theatre with a picture of a cow on the flipboard. We zoom into this image. It turns into that of  cow staggering about with a knife through it�s head.

HILLSIDE - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

The MYSTERIOUS FIGURES are more numerous than before. Each starving and adgitatated, greedily feeding on the scraps of the last meal. Moonlight sonata starts to play.

WILDERNESS - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

Mixed shots of MYSTERIOUS FIGURE�s search for food. Poaching rabbits chickens etc and roaming around the countryside. He catches a bundle of ex-living artefacts and throws them in the air.

HILL - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

The limited supply of food lands in the middle of the pack and is quickley torn apart from the vast croud, the multitude of figures that roam benieth the mysteriously lit sky. It is very quickey gone and they cry for �more� in a repetative drone chant. Mr TROUT is thrown onto the feeding frenzy.

ISOLATED HUT - INTERIOR - DAY

A knock on the door. Vicious banging. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE awake from his slumber and goes to the window to look outside. A slug like laugh before getting his stick and going to the door. It�s opened and a YOUNG COUPLE stand outside.

    YOUNG CHAP
I�m sorry to bother you, but our car�s broken- ah? Uh! (distant scream)

The �ah� is the sound of a YOUNG CHAP realising that he is about to be killed by a lunatic with a stick. The Uh! is this happening, and the distant scream is his girlfriend realising she should have got him to take out life insurance. In the next shot MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is chasing the girl away, down the drive there is a thud and a scornful noise. The thud is the girl being caught and at the mercy of MYSTERIOUS FIGURE, motionless and paralysed by the strengh of her assalient, the scornful noise is aimed at Halfords who said the car would be fine and renewed it�s MOT last week.

HILLTOP - EXTERIOR - SUNSET

Two bodies are thrown to the squabbling masses and very quickely torn apart. �more, more� they chant, the fires burning brighter. The masses are folding over themselves to gather attention.

MARKET - INTERIOR - DAY

Images of a lone wandering MYSTERIOUS FIGURE through the market of butchers and fish. Separated by their calls and meat, unmoved. Drifting alone in his black cloak. Looking at the knives that surround them, detaching the meat from the shattered skeletons. He flinches at the sight of the knives. Interspered with images of the FIGURES of the sunset hill. It builds into a tense climax in which MYSTERIOUS FIGURE lets off a blood curdling scream. A point of view shot from his vision shows the fellow shoppers looking bemused and curious. Another shot shows MYSTERIOUS FIGURE whistling and walking away, insecure of the attention caused by screaming in the middle of a public dwelling. He walks off past a shopping trolley. The butchering of meat continues the same as before.

     V/O (LITTLE GIRL)
Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth every moving animal that is moving upon the earth....

CHURCH - INTERIOR - NIGHT

A bare congregation (small - not naked) observe the LITTLE GIRL reading from a bible a passage from it�s first book.

....and God went on to say �Here I have given you all vegetation bearing seed which is on the surface of the whole earth and every tree on which there is the fruit of a tree bearing seed. To you let it serve as food.�

The black MYSTERIOUS FIGURE breaks through the stain glass window of the church. Terror hits the limited turnout as they are hounded by a dark force, tearing through them one by one and savaging them. Blood squirts over the LITTLE GIRLs white church dress. The MINISTER crouches in the corner drastically clutching his cross, defending himself from the black cloaked assassin. He suffers the same fate as most of the congregation who lie littered upon the floor in pools of blood. His head is ripped off by the savage beast. LITTLE GIRL is frozen in shock, her bible reading in limbo. She raises the holy book as a kind of shield.

     LITTLE GIRL
The good book will protect me.

She looks around at the debris and dying humans, sprawled along the floor and the dead Vicar who is holding a cross. After little consideration throws the book at MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. She runs as the MYSTERIOUS FIGURE recovers from the attack and pounds up the aisle. A dying hand connected to a weak body grabs hold of MYSTERIOUS FIGUREs leg, stalling his immediate progress by falling to the floor. He limps up and lets his savage anger rip on this person, smashing the pew over his head which he then up turns in a fit of rage. He takes pursuit of LITTLE GIRL who is on the verge of being outside. She moves the heavy, creaking doors and runs away, terrified. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE rises from his rampage and swiftly follows her, balanced, swooping forward at speed.

CHURCHYARD - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

The LITTLE GIRL hides behind a gravestone. Her stalker poised, standing motionless in the moonlight. She starts to shiver with fear as MYSTERIOUS FIGURE starts to sniff the air. And looks directly in her direction. LITTLE GIRL makes a run for it, her limp body tangled in desperation, whatever that�s suppost to mean. It sounds quite good anyway. She falls down a hole. Into a grave, her face pressed against the coffin. She is motionless, her heavy breathing the only noise, her breath steaming from within her mouth. She brushes some dirt off the lid of the coffin with two of her weak fingers. The partially submerged wording on the brass plaque is now visible, the name of the occupant of the coffin. �YOU� it reads in massive letters as the MYSTERIOUS FIGURE jumps down on her from below the starry sky.

CHURCH INTERIOR - NIGHT
MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is in the process of putting all the dead mangled bodies from the massacre into a shopping trolley. Shoving them in and treading on it to fit them all in. A PERSON WHO�S LATE FOR CHURCH arrives at the door, looking down and sits in a pew.

     PERSON WHO�S LATE FOR CHURCH
Sorry I�m late minister. I was at the missionary of the latter church of....

A hand is dangling infront of him, detached and bloody. It is connected to a body sprawled on the pew infront of him.

     PERSON WHO�S LATE FOR CHURCH

Jesus Christ!

PERSON WHO�S LATE FOR CHURCH puts down the holy books he�s brought with him and runs out of church. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE stands motionless (he doesn�t stand while walking or running), grabs his trolley and heads towards the door. Just before leaving he looks at the bodies in his trolley. It may arouse suspicion so he grabs a tapestry off the walls off the church and covers it over the contents of the trolley.

CITY - EXTERIOR - DAY

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE walks the empty paved slabs of the urban backwaters. Still dressed in a black robe type consume along back alleys, littered with the debris of mankind, pushing around the trolley. Passing dead cats and prostitution. He lurks in the shadows before being confronted with THREE YOUTHS who produce knives and guns.

    YOUTH 1
That looks like a very heavy wallet.

    YOUTH 2
We ought to, you know, lighten the load.

    YOUTH 3
....or we could just slash your sorry face!

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE contemplates for a minute, well a moment really. The meaning of the context seeping in and deciding what to do. Another possible close shot of a knife being wealded.

    V/O (MF)
It is the weapons, the tools that make them what they are. The basis for their arrogance in false power. Without them their bodies are as puny as myself. By myself I am  vulnerable.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE�s pushes the trolley at them and runs into the distance, the dark alley. For the first time we see the cover of the trolley that has been pushed into a shaft of light. �Peace and Harmony� it reads. The remaining YOUTHs seem to be humilating him. Making sly remarks like �chicken� etc. Laughing and joking at his expense. Then YOUTH 2 casually looks at the contents of the trolley, peeling back the bannor with a swift movement. A trolley  viewpoint shot shows YOUTH 2 looking disgusted and throwing up nearby. The other YOUTHS look at the contents of the trolley and the humour drains out of their face. They realise there may be more to this charactor. They look to where MYSTERIOUS FIGURE vanished from, the swirling mist of the evening. Silence for a moment as they gaze into this abyss. Through this barrior of smoke emerges the fleet footed MYSTERIOUS FIGURE, charging towards them with an army of foxes. A couple of viewpoint shots from the YOUTH�s view on the advancing army before the tearing of flesh as foxes maim the humans. In the next shot MYSTERIOUS FIGURE makes a sweeping gesture and the foxes stop their feeding. He piles their bodies into the overfilling trolley, ripping off pieces and feeding them to his pets. He picks up their blood stained weapons that litter the ground and disapears into the night. Out of the shadows steps a terrified YOUTH 4 who looks at the trail of devestation in which he lost his mates. He is wearing a dodgy hawaiian shirt that he rips on a jagged piece of metal. We see a trail of blood along the pavement and the odd limb fall from the over flowing trolley. YOUTH 4 throws away his spliff.

HILL - EXTERIOR - SUNRISE

Thousands of MYSTERIOUS FIGURES are wide alive. Fire infultrating around them Their black robes flickering in the lashing wind.. One by one they start to approach a door which  opens up, high in the watery sky.

POLICESTATION - INTERIOR - DAY

YOUTH 4 steps in, shaken and battered. His heart pumping fast, although we can�t exactly see that. Looking worse for wear.

    YOUTH 4
It was bad, man. He�s a maniac...he like ripped them up...my buddies...hey man we weren�t doing no drugs....he crept up behind us and - whack! I mean whack! not pow or a pussy punch it was right at you guys..I mean woah! It was right at us. I swung a punch back man...but no way man he was like the wind man, silent swift and that army of foxes, man.

STREET - EXTERIOR - DAY

YOUTH 4 and two policemen observe the place of the crime.

    YOUTH 4
He ripped my shirt, man.

The POLICEMEN look around the back alley. Their torches looking around the darkened gloom. Well their eyes looked but torches made it brighter. They focus on the spec of blood in the light. The torchlght follows it and finds a detached limb. Either side is the wheelmarks of a shopping trolley.

    POLICEMAN
There might be something in this after all (to radio) urgent backup required at....

ISOLATED HUT -INTERIOR - NIGHT

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE returns and throws more bits of dead humans into his bath. It starts to bubble.

     V/O
I�m concerned just for the minute blip that is myself. I just survive, protecting myself and my decaying spirit, waiting for the rebirth.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE curls up and starts to sleep. He holds the knife close to him.

ISOLATED HUT - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

The passage of time idea sees detached limbs scattering the countryside outside. Whip pan link to countryside.

COUNTRYSIDE - EXT - NIGHT

An entire army of policemen with dogs follow the trail in the blood and limbs, odd head. A helicopter circles in the sky. Highlighting the party. It picks out a farmhouse in the distance.

FARM- EXTERIOR - NIGHT

They approach the building and the police dogs go mad, scurrying and barking away.  They lead to the outhouse where the chickens once lived. Lighted up in the spotlight are the carcasses off the lifeless birds.

    POLICEMAN
Foxes.

In the background the slightly muffled sound of barking. The door of the farm is prised open and POLICEMAN comes to look at the inside of the blood splattered kitchen.

    POLICEMAN
Bigger foxes.

HELICOPTER VIEWPOINT

The beam finds the Isolated hut. Inside MYSTERIOUS FIGURE smells the air. Outside we see the infra red image of the dwelling, and the horrible shape of the being below the cloak. Just for a moment, a glipse of MYSTERIOUS FIGURES tangled and weak body. Several medium sized mammels also dwell in it, foxes.

     RADIO MESSAGE
Charlie tango 2 over.

     POLICEMAN
Go ahead George.

     RADIO MESSAGE
We have a contender, over.

ISOLATED SHELTER. - INTERIOR - NIGHT

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE sticks his hands in the bath. We see an underwater shot of them penetrating the surface.

HELECOPTER VIEWPOINT- EXTERIOR - NIGHT

    POLICEMAN
We got that George. How many suspects were there?

We now see the infra red light and there are three MYSTERIOUS FIGUREs. 2 slightly shorter but straitening themselves up and uncurling their backs.

    RADIO MESSAGE
    (slightly taken aback)
There appear to be...three, over.

ISOLATED SHELTER - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

The ground force (no Alan Ticthmarsh) approach the exterior of the shelter. The odd bit of blood marking the way. Soon a mighty barrage is assembled, encompassing police vehicles and POLICEMEN. Two officers in full protection approach the door. They knock. After a shimmering pause MYSTERIOUS FIGURE opens the door. (NB PROTECTED POLICEMAN is protected from the use of firearms. He�s not just wearing a condom).

    PROTECTED POLICEMAN
Police. We�d like to ask you a couple of questions. Open up!

In a swift movement the door is opened and POLICEMAN is grabbed an the sound of beating up is heard. A splash as he�s thrown in the bath. A battering ram is called upon.

    PROTECTED POLICEMAN
Police! let us in!

After a moment the door swings open. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE is nowhere to be seen. PROTECTED POLICEMAN gingerly walks inside the opening and gets hit by the knife in the side of the head. The door swings shut and the sound of a beating persists. The other officers start to batter down the door, frantically and purposly. Before it�s off the hindges it opens of it�s own accord and out steps MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. The police back off and keep there distance, protected by adequate firepower and a barrage of warnings. He is backed by more and more of his kind that fan out behind him. Together they form a circle behind the lead MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. Tension before policemen shout out instructions.

     V/O (MYSTERIOUS FIGURE)
Together we live, together we�re strong.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE undoes his cloak, giving us a glipse of the alien underbelly and swamp like features we�ve never whitnessed before. The circle seems to generate lightening type eletrical patterns that feed into MYSTERIOUS FIGURE at the head. The energy collects in his stomach region, where it forms into a massive beam that zaps a police marksman taking cover beside a car. ANOTHER POLICEMAN makes a move towards the group and is instantly zapped by this phenominal weapon. This instigates a bararge of fire from the policemen in which MYSTERIOUS FIGURE steps inside the circle, which absorbs the volley of bullets in a electrical haze. The shielded entities advance on the bewildered POLICEMEN.

CITY - EXTERIOR - DAY

Frustrated and terrified civilians flea the city. The commotion is everywhere as they scramble for survival. In the middle of the road is a huddle of MYSTERIOUS FIGURES reeking terror on the neighbourhood and pushing humanity aside. BARN - INTERIOR - DAY

ANOTHER FARMER is looks out of the barn to see the advancing MYSTERIOUS FIGURES. He looks terified. Another glance outside, followed by a long look. We see the fear building in his face. His eyes watering and terrible. He puts a cattle gun to the side of his head and fires.

     V/O
I am the last of an ancient breed, but the first of a new generation. The world will be ours to , cripple and shape until the next rise of the fallen. (image of president pressing nuclear button) They put up resistance but it was futile. We had survived meteor impact, the nuclear winter, in a world of desolation, living off scraps of life. Recluse in our caves, dying one by one. Hibernating, immobilised. Nourished by a lone guardian.

HILLTOP - EXTERIOR - DAY

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE approaches SCRUFFY man, who is still playing the flute, the melody weak and indeciciable. In a swift movement MYSTERIOUS FIGURE kicks him over and claims the instrument. He looks across the plains. The manmade city disolves into a new city. The city is now shaped in a new image. Gone is the dominance of man, replaced by a new force.

NEW CITY - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

We pan past a butchers shop which has dead humans and babies hanging in the window. A dog raids a bin and another one is eating a rabbit. We zoom into a hospital and head down the corridor. At the end is a door with �maternity unit� written on it. We glide past several dark tubs with bits of human flesh hanging out. A NURSE throws in some flesh and the tub starts to bubble. Then the camera moves to see NURSES feeding their PATIENTS with trays that we can barely see the contents of. We move through the ward to see a TV with parliament live on it (It says this clearly on the screen).

FARM - EXTERIOR - DAY 

HUMANS are escorted through the paddocks and guided through a network and put in a bath. Dipped in chemicals. Some of them are injected with hormones.

FARM PADDOCK - INTERIOR - DAY

Two HUMANs are herded in, one male, one female. FARMERs in black cloacks with agricultural hints represented in their costume watch them shy towards each other.

     FARMER
Go on then, mate. Havn�t got all day.

The blokes willy disolves into an image of a needle with sperm in it. Not literally, it�s special effects.

ANOTHER SPACE - INTERIOR - DAY

In the confinds of another space HUMAN FEMALES are held down and injected in what society defines as their private areas with the solution.

FARM - INTERIOR - DAY

HUMAN FEMALEs are herded through gates into a compound where suction pads are put on their breasts. Follow the milk being sucked from their nipples - it squirts through tubes into a container.

FARMHOUSE - INTERIOR - DAY

FARMER�s MYSTERIOUS SON pours milk on his cornflakes. The carton has humans on the side of it. He turns to outside where his DAD is rounding up HUMANS with a fox one man and his dog style.

FIELD - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

The HUMANs band together in the middle of the field. A few of them touch the fence and get electricuted. A rustle in the distance as HUMANS start to crap themselves, panic building in their faces. Out of the darkness we hear the pounding sound of lots of dogs, leafing through the undergrowth and advancing towards them. They close in on the pack of HUMANs, their wire greasy hair trailing behind them, ungroomed and wild. They seperate a weak human from the pack and eat it before disapearing into the night.

ISOLATED SHELTER - INTERIOR - DAY

     MYSTERIOUS FIGURE
Most of them are under control and ready to serve our needs. Only a few are resistant, they live in isolation, poaching a few tangled livestock from our bounty. Ripping our livilehood from under our feet.

RURAL FARM - EXTERIOR - NIGHT

HUMANs approach the farm in a strict formation and head towards the chicken shed. The squeeking and squarking of commotion and the light of the bedroom is turned on. When a MYSTERIOUS FIGURE FARMER gets out of bed. The humans scurry away with their caught chickens and run away. A scream is heard from the general direction of the bedroom as the HUMANs are over the hill, safe from the electronic impulses of the MYSTERIOUS FIGURE. He turns away and thinks for a moment. The small band of HUMANs disapear into the wilderness. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE FARMER looks at the devestation caused by the HUMANs slyly. We can�t see it but an idea is forming in his mind.

FIELD - EXTERIOR - EARLY MORNING -

About twelve MYSTERIOUS FIGUREs line up on horseback. They put on their red coats and are surrounded by foxes. One MF blows a bugle and the clumsy procession begins to go foward. Behind a hedge HUMAN is doing a wee. He looks up in horror as he sees the advancing party on the horizon, legging it towards him. He runs away before he can stop peeing and lets out a cry of desperation.

     HUMAN

He summons his friends from behind the bush. Mixed shots of the chase that onsues. The fleaing humans tyering, thier bare feet fleeting through the undergroth, using every last drop of enery and enduring the pain. Soon it becomes too much and he is set upon by the blood thirsty foxes. A point of view shot as he is dragged to the floor.  

     V/O (MYSTERIOUS FIGURE)
Our tune stalks the sunset. The red carpet of man�s life has ended. Only a few pockets of the world remain untouched. A race is just a blip in the universe.No one is above death, not even those who believe they are the only life.

RESTAURANT - INTERIOR - PLESENT EVENING

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE sits at a table. A WAITER comes and offers him a menu. In the corner is a pen full of naked HUMANs.

     WAITER
Would you like the vegetarian menu?

     MYSTERIOUS FIGURE
Well...what do you recommend?

     WAITER
We�ve got a fresh line of cattle, straight in.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE looks across to the pen. Observing how lean the meat is on offer. He points to the blonde on the right. The HUMANs squawk in terror. We hear their desperate cries of pain as the COOK approaches. The pen is opened and the COOK heads towards BLONDE. She lets out a big scream followed by a desperate rant of desperation and wimpering.

     BLONDE
No!

We focus in on MYSTERIOUS FIGURE�s face and zoom in. A Flash of white and we see from his viewpoint. The screaming and swearing of BLONDE is replaced by mooing.

     MYSTERIOUS FIGURE (VOICE OVER)
I don�t understand their cries of pain. I don�t care.

CAVES

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE sits in a cave shed munching on a small mammal casually watching apes go about their business. By the magic of special effects this evolves into a caveman before our eyes. MYSTERIOUS FIGURE watches with curiosity at the new race and puts down a small mammal he�s half eaten. In the next shot the CAVEMAN is attacked and dragged into a cave, high upon the ridge.

BRONZE AGE SWORD FIGHT

     V/O
They do not see how limited this power and dominance really is. Blocked by their manufactorered way of life. Consumed by their own rules and power struggles. Busy looking at themselves and not others.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE kills both sword fighters and drags their bodies into the cave that is littered with rotting flesh. He rips bit off the carcass and throws them into a black pool.

In the background we hear numerous instruments playing different tunes. The SCRUFFY man�s flute blocks out most of the background noise and is an overpowering melody, floating through the landscape. We pan across and focus on a rabbit. Beneath the flute sound we hear a weak Obo type instrument. A fox steps into view and this sound is drenched out by another instrument. As the fox kills it�s prey the oboe stops.

Desperate for nourishment to cleanse my body from their dirt, I had to move closer to their world. Closer to what was killing me. Too much is never enough. LABORATRY with genetiacally modified plants. Alien DNA being put into the strands of plants that took billions of years to evolve.

The bodies they occupy are puny, easily broken but defended by a cocoon of technology, reinforcing the tune of their ways. The world should not be like this.
