| Monday 18th February 2002 On the first day Mick introduced himself to the group then we had an induction on what the programme was all about and filled in the relevant paper work. Then we did a group task to get to know each other and to see how good our communication skills were. Tuesday 19th February Today we learned about the different types of communications there is including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. We also went on the computers to compile CVs and covering letters. We also scrutinised interview techniques and absorbed general wisdom on the subject. Wednesday 20th February We continued our interview techniques and we also learned how to act in an interview in terms of our behavior and attitude. We learned what questions to ask. Thursday 21st February Safety was the theme of this day. We assessed potential hazards around the building such as corners and mailbags. Then we moved onto different sorts of fire fighting apparatus and watched a video. Friday 22nd February Today we sat down with Mick and did a one on one weekly review on how the programme is going and what we have learnt in the week. Then we continued our job search by looking in the paper and going to the job centre. Monday 25th February This morning we learned about driving theory. How cars move and what sort of questions you will be asked. We saw a mark sheet a driving instructor uses to assess your skills. This afternoon we planned our day trip out and started on the newsletter. Tuesday 26th February Problem solving! This morning Mick gave us an ex CIA problem from the mid-sixties that got us thinking about arms. Wednesday 27th February On our day out everyone was given �10 to spend. Some went to the pictures and others went to the motor museum. Thursday 28th February Today we learnt about first aid. Including CPR techniques, recovery position and general bandaging. Friday 1st March We arrived feeling sad about leaving each other. Emotions ran through us as our last tasks were completed. Mick called us out one by one to review our thoughts of the programme and how we felt it helped us. We then agreed with Mick on an action plan of what we can do next to gain employment using what we had learnt from CWT. We depart from each other�s lives having been enriched with knowledge and severed from lie ins. I wrote this sentence here on this day. Then I moved onto this one. Then I ended here. Kerry comments The course is alright and you get to meet lots of different people and the course helps you find the right job for you. Chris comments The course was delivered in a unique way which was suited for the people on the course and I learned how to pay more attention and detail to applications. Andrew comments I thought it was a relaxed atmosphere Fraser comments I learnt a bit. It was good but I wouldn�t want to do it for the rest of my life. A valuable diversion from birth to death.
