8th March 1999

The first day started at midnight the night before. It always happens, unless the new days late for work or clocks on early. Simon lesson at eleven. JD and I have a long chat with Ryan about fat people. Cal comes along. Up town, buy Style by Orbital. Cal farts in the middle of a shop. My house via Iceland. See a Pizza that clearly says Vegetarian cheese, spicy beef.

We spent the day with Cal, watching Ren and Stimpy. We ended up in the Firkin before seeing that madman with the kareoke machine in a pram. Epic goodbyes.

Back to my house with JD, waiting around. Joking about Aquafresh and I eventually got packed. At around 20 past eleven we set off for Honeywell, half expecting us to get there and to find we werent going. Goodbyes were said and me and JD pissed through the gates of college. It was a liberating experience.

Everyone else is sitting in the coach waiting for one elusive person when I decide to wait outside. Ill probably spend long enough on that bus. Here I experience long, emotional goodbyes between Paul and Helen.
Ill miss you I say, joining in. He almost gives me a kiss. What an intimate moment! It was probably my smell that put him off. Mental note - dont wear deoderatent.

So to the coach journey. Only a few moments stick out. Jokes between me and JD putting a scarf over our eyes to dullen the onslaught of a bright light, unsuspecting JD shots, thats all. I havent got a picture of a coach so heres one of a train.

The ferry journey wasnt that interesting. Apart from a cooked breakfast I dont remember that much about it at all, but it might have involved floating across the channel.
