Structure of US Government Class
Welcome!
the students take on the role of law makers (congress), the president and executive branch, and the lesser judicial branches.  Decisions that they make in class affect their personal economic status (taxes, welfare, housing, setting prices for items such as gasoline, etc.) and influences how our "nation" (class) operates within the "international community" (my other classes plus a few I create).

By the end of the year students not only learn about how the government works, but how a government will affect their finances in the future.

In addition, by the end of the year students have a greater understanding for what they will encounter once they leave the protective environment of high school and enter the real world.
This web page is designed to provide parents and students with basic information on what is being studied in my classroom.  Contact me if you have questions
Economics is the main foundation for my classes.  Everything we learn is tied back to money and how it influences and is used to shape how our government operates.

Students will take on the role of a specific job in class.  Jobs include, bankers, police officers, credit card employees, etc.  At the end of each week they receive a pay check.  Students then have to pay taxes, fines for breaking class rules, rent, etc.
