| Industrial Threaded discussion There is no doubt in my mind that industrialization was for the good of society and the future. Looking at the industrialization from a social standpoint, the industrialization brought people together. Whether it was inventors coming together trying to make the invention, critics trying to make the newest inventions appear bad or workers who were working in hard conditions. The workers didnt like the conditions that they worked in but they were making new friends, that on a daily workday they could share their interests and problems with. The inventions really impacted the economic attribute of the period of time. Inventions such as an improved version of the steam engine, the spinning mule, the iron horse, and the Dynamo really impacted the people of the time in a positive way. The improved version of the steam engine which was first used to pump water from mines and to forge iron was later used to power machines in cotton mills and also eventually led to the factory system and an early assembly. The spinning mule made it possible for a person to produce stronger, finer thread and it helped create demand for thread in factories. The iron horse moved faster and could haul heavier loads than a horse could at the time and the iron horse later would create demand for iron for rails and trains which in turn created jobs for building and running the railroads. The jobs opening up would link back to social parts of life for the people because when they got the job they would be working with people from all over and they would get to meet new people. The Dynamo was an electric generator that later paved the way for other inventors who found ways to use electric power to run machines and light up whole cities. |
