I believe FDR was right to drop the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki for two reasons. The first is that FDR and America forewarned Japan that they could do mass destruction and to surrender but Japan refused ebcause they were fight to the death people and because they didnt believe that America had a machine of mass destruction. Second I believe that millions of American lives and Japanese lives would have been lost if they would have kept on fighting and gone island hopping. The war would have been extended by at least 2 or 3 years maybe more which would have been bad for all countries involved.
