When asked about war attrocities, many Germans said they didn't know. Do you think it was possible not to know? What would you have done if you'd suspected these war crimes? Could genocide happen again? Explain. I think it is possible not to know what was going on because the people could have been brainwashed and it could have become a part of their everyday life. But, after killing so many Jews a German has to get the sense of what is going on. I wish I could say I would have done something but that would be a lie. I feel I would have been easily caught up in what was going on and then I would be afraid of standing up for the Jews. Genocide could happen again but I believe with the United States playing the role of � Big Brother� that is very unlikely |
