Synopsis: The 'Bachelor' is off and running. Based on Buster Keaton's classic comedy, 'Seven Chances', this unbridled romantic comedy stars Chris O'Donnel as matrimony-phobe Jimmy, who desperately cruises around San Francisco in a limousine with a minister ('Babe's' James Cromwell) along for the wild ride. With Anne (Renee Zelweger) refusing to change her mind, he seeks out one ex-girlfriend after another, including an operatic diva (Mariah Carey, a classical gas) and a cringing, contemptuous, chain-smoking socialite (Brooke Shields), who particularly chafes at the provisions of the will, namely that the bride and groom must live together, they must stay together for ten years, and they must have children. 'The Bachelor' climaxes with a hilarious stampede of wanna-be brides who have read about Jimmy's plight in the newspaper. It's the most breakneck chase up and down the streets of San Francisco since 'Bullitt'
