FASTEST DINNER IN THE EAST


I'm going enter the way I do it. Not the cook book,as she wants us to cook brown rice.. ( I use success brown rice)

1 pkg success brown rice thrown in a pot of boiling water till done.(easy)
1/4 c. orange juice
2 teaspoons veg oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon each * honey & cider vinegar*
2 cloves garlic crushed ( I buy minced and take spoon and throw some in)
few drops hot sauce(or to taste)
1/2 cup crushed can pineapple drained slightly
1/2 cup sliced waterchestnuts sliced in quarters (canned of course for me)
1/2 cut finely chopped red bell pepper.
1/4 cup EACH finely chopped onion and celery
1/4 cup raisins.(well this I do more than called. I soak them in hot water for a bit so they get soft then I chop them in smaller pieces)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

IN a small bowl combine orange juice, both oils, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic and hot sauce. Add rice (after cooked and drained can still be hot)

mix well.
add remaining ingredients.
Mix well cover chill several hours or overnight.. mix again b/4 serving....Serve cold.

8 servings. @ 152 calories. ea.
