Parapsionics: Fact or Truth?

Okay, I know a lot of you out there have your feet planted firmly on the ground and don't believe that anything beyond the realm of what you can see and understand is real. Funny thing is, most of you probably also believe in God, huh? Gotcha. What about atoms? Believe they exist? Can't see them though can you? Can you accurately talk about an atom? How about electrons? See where I'm getting at? You're a moron, for goodness sakes!

Wait.....sorry, got off track. What I'm getting at is that things occur and exist that have no good explanation. What this page is for is to give you what understandings I have and my theories on the subject. You can call it parapsionics, you can call it mind-over-matter, you can call is super powers, you can call it 'eggplant' if you want...I won't stop you. But before you read further, make sure you have an open mind, otherwise your wasting your time and should go be an accountant or something.

Okay let's dispell some myths here first. "A human only uses 10% of their brain"-WRONG. This only applies to people who watch bowling on TV or attend auto races.

The key to using your mind in more powerful ways is belief. Not only do you have to truly believe it's possible, but the more people around you who also believe, strengthens that resolve. Why is it that many people have strange things, even minor ones, happen to them? Because with almost all people, there is some small part of them that belives. It's the little child in all of us who believes in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy and Superman.

Why do you think it's stronger in those who've never seemed to have grown up? A child's imagination is strong, yes. But we pawn off to much onto that fact. Young children are more open to parapsionics than almost anyone. They haven't yet been told or been informed that it wasn't possible. They believe.

A young child, no more than 4, after the death of a close relative begins to seemingly carry on conversations with himself. When asked about it, they say they're talking with that relative. Imagination? You think until the child begins telling you information that they could never have known by themselves.

Think the above is impossible? What if I told you that it happened with me as a kid? Still impossible? What if I told you that I've had over half a dozen other people tell me similar stories when I mention mine. These people also open up to me and let me know other unexplained phenomena that they've kept secret for years because everyone else would think they were looney? Stories of reading minds, moving matter with thoughts, seeing and speaking with the dead, and more that I guarantee you wouldn't believe.

After my incidents as a child, they disappeared for years simply because adults didn't believe so I didn't. Starting a little after puberty, small pieces began to come back. They weren't anything as powerful as before, but my reflexes became highly attuned....ask Matt Watson....or Phillip Spalding...or Andy Hayes, or Jeremy Wisker, or any of the dozens of people who used to watch me pull off phenomenally challenging moves for someone as unathletic as I was. But when I went to the Academy, I was surrounded by people who could and would believe. Things grew stronger and occurred more frequently. The more people saw, the more they believed.

And you know what happened? Not only did their belief strengthen my own, but many began to show small signs of their own abilities. My good friend Barry Nassif, began to show signs of cryokinesis, the ability to lower temperature with his mind. My first two girlfriends showed signs of telepathy and empathy respectively. My best friend Joe began to develop an unusual ability which started out as a tendency to have things break or shatter around him to affecting large amounts of machinery depending on his emotional status at the time. Belief. That's all that is required to start you off.

There are those out there with their own powerful abilities who teach the young. As I did with Barry, except more so. While I tried to help Barry gain better control and use over his cold abilities, these educated teachers develop the mind to expand the powers in ways you, or I for that matter, could imagine. Naomi Mayo, a friend and trainer, has dozens of abilities at hand and has offered to help me do the same. The focus of hers I've tried has expanded mine to ways I wouldn't have guessed.

Something I've wanted to do research on is the use of hypnosis to access or amplify those latent parapsionic abilities. The two are, theoretically, closely related. In the process of hypnosis, a subject is subjected to deep relaxation that triggers the brain into delta waves (the stage of waves that immediately procedes sleep, where the mind is most susceptible to suggestion) and allows easier access toward the subconscious. Naturally, the subconscious holds the layout for the parapsionic talents. Few have attempted to bridge the two, but I'm positive that with the correct subjects, it should be an easy matter.

It's been probably a year since I've written anything on here. Since then, I've used hypnosis in ways I wouldn't have even thought about back then. Past-life regression, repressed memories, induced telepathy. With each step, I learn more and more about the fabric of reality, the universe...time. First off, death is not permanent. There is indeed a soul, however it consists of all the memories and experiences of all the lives you've ever lived. This life now? It'll carry on to your next one. What I like about what I found the most is that I used to believe in reincarnation, but that you just had a new life. Now, I see that every experience you have counts. It doesn't get erased to start a new slate. Live, laugh, and love. Do nice things for your friends and coworkers. It'll work out for you in the end.

Second, free will exists and time is not immutable. I've been successful at everything I've tried with hypnosis, except for one....glancing into the future. Near future, far future, I've tried several people, and nothing seems to come out properly. For the most part, it makes psychics unreliable. I'll admit I've had some that were great at telling me what has already happened. However, I can do that just as easily with hypnosis. I guess the one big downfall in this realization is that there is no destiny. Two people were never "meant" to find each other. It's all chance. Which makes me think that this whole thing we call life is an experiment. Something which was started and then let go to see where it went. For the religious people out there, I hate to say it, but that makes prayer a moot point. You can't interrupt something in the middle of an experiment, it destroys what you're trying to find out. And after millions of years, the deity in charge is not going to give a little extra help to your sick cat and waste all that time.

Sorry, got off on a little tangent there. Although, that would be great for Insights sometime. The point is that I've seen the human mind accomplish a lot. It can render you immune to pain, drop your surface body temperature twenty degrees, and let you view into the past. I've had people read others minds while under hypnosis. The abilities are there, they just need to be tapped. Some people do it naturally, others can use a little hand. My suggestion, when your three year old says that they see a ghost, trust them. Most children lose their abilities because they shut them off when parents and elders don't believe them. Never jump to conclusions. Have a little faith. Who knows, your child may be your sick cat that never got better after praying...

It's been ages since I've added on to this page, and after the last few months of diving more and more into lucid dreaming, finding out more and more. Once I have a few more trials, I should hopefully post some interesting findings here.
