Date: 20 May 2001 Summary: The action and fantasy we all love in characters we can actually identify with.
Joe Faust, Chuck Hopkins, and Kyle Reeser are three good friends who share a love of comic books. On a summer outing, they find themselves transported to the Marvel Universe where their comic book fantasies have a chance of coming true. However, as they come into their own bengs as heroes, they discover there's a lot more than what one would think. Internal strife drives the friends apart as they find themselves a pawn in a game that could not only cost them their lives but the fate of two universes as well.
Supercools is the best movie I've seen that seems to really see into who movie-goers are. The main characters in movies are either everyday type people who live in a ho-hum world or major action players who we can't really identify with. It's kind of a metaphor for our lives and the conflicts that occur even with those we're closest to. Yet it also opens up the imagination and keeps you interested throughout the whole movie. Action, comedy, sci-fi mixed with some drama, it has everything. For anyone who's ever dreamed of being more than they are, this picture will hit home. And for those of you who haven't, pay the $7 and see it anyway, it's worth it. Check for other user
