Conclusion
Hopefully by now you have learned more about some of the people who have helped shape the world in which you live. All five of the nominees came from very different backgrounds and from different periods in time.

Each of you selected the person you thought best fit the "person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses" -Alfred Nobel, Founder of the Nobel Foundation.

Below is a copy of a letter sent to the class from the Nobel Foundation thanking us for our hard work.

Re: Nobel Peace Prize Award 2004

Dear students of Room 18,

Thank you for the letters you sent of you nominations for this years Nobel Peace Prize. It was a welcomed shock to hear from so many of you. Many of you brought up numerous points to the validity of each claim for your candidate to recieve the award. All of the letters were well thought out and to the point. We could tell you spent a lot of time working on this project. For all of your hard work we are sending your class a set of Encyclopedia Brittanica's to further promote your search for knowledge. Remember, that each of the nominees started out in the same places you may find yourselves and perhaps one day you will be recieving a Nobel Peace Prize. Thank you once again for all of your hard work and efforts.

Sincerely,
