My Inspiration
The person who inspires me the most is my father. He's probably the smartest person I know and he is a very amiable guy. He was born in a 12 child family. His father's first 7 children died in the first few years of their life due to dieseases. After my grandfather's 7th child died, he went to see a fortune teller. The fortune teller told my grandfather that his last name, Lee, was bringing the family bad luck. My grandfather took the advice of the fortune teller and changed his last name to Vo and after doing so the last 5 children he produced all lived. My father was number 8.
Born in South Vietnam he learned how to play various instruments which include the bass guitar, piano, drums, and electric guitar. During his teenage years he played at clubs as a bassist in a band to make money. Later he joined the South Vietnam army and fought against the North Vietnamese in the infamous Vietnam war. Sometime after the war he had left Vietnam and came to USA where he became a constrution worker. He later worked in plumbing and heating, and worked as an electrician. Now he works in computers as a computer programmer. Most of the knowledge he gained to do these jobs came from reading many books on the subject and self teaching. After all this studying he went into continuing colleges to earn degrees and liscences to work. I personally would have a hard time learning straight from the book only so I admire that he can do that so skillfully and it's not as if those are the easiest jobs to learn. They are in fact some of the toughest to learn, but he is able to do each job with great skill. He really inspires me to do the best I can in the things I love to do and he is a wise person.
