| "One and Only" |
| Determination and fighting To further my writing Of my lyrical skill, Which will fill The room with the melody in mind, And tear that bind You have to your family and friends. The lesson this message sends Will hopefully be that of freewill, And not lead you to that one and only dollar bill That you have been taught, fought, and caught With at your side at night, When you feel that all is right, As long as youre lying in the arms of your monetary mistress That is your addiction of the highest caliber. Paying your way into likeability Is but a futility, An action of abstract consequence That has been brought out of your own confidence. Your wealth is not your worth in this world of ours, Containing such luxuries as European sports cars. Youve got to set your sights to that higher ground, And forget that greed that your deviousness wound Up tight, Sheltered from the morning light. Sun shines its rays over the silhouette of crime, Which has manifested itself since the dawn of time. The dollar, the franc, the peso, the pound, The lira, the yen, that penny on the ground. No matter how you say it, still adds up To that one and only habit of man. Time to drop it. |
