| "Lost is Eternity" |
| Look upwards towards the sky. Do you not see the light that is absent? Do you care? Of course not; you couldn't, for it is not there. How could you interpret the nothingness of life? Must you bring forth all of this strife? Fall down to your knees and avert your eyes. I can see through all of your lies. You know that feeling inside of you? That feeling of disgust for yourself? With the fading of your image, so follows health. Yes, you will die along with your soul. It will not be saved at all. You will be judged at the end of the hall. Down that corridor you must go. At the end? I do not know. Perhaps it is Heaven, But more likely it is Hell. Don't rely on me, for I cannot tell. Attack if you must, if you feel the need be, Just know that the slave will always be free. Take his home, his family, and all that is dear; Standing up with pride, he will show you no fear. Or will he? I know not of any slave. I have not come across one in my time. I sit and I write, and think up a rhyme. For I am the one who expresses this feeling Towards some unknown healing. But do not question, hate, or dread me. It is not my fault that lost is Eternity. It is mankind that has destroyed this place. No rainmaker would argue their case. For even ravenous animals have more serenity Then this diabolical identity, known as man. From which every drop of hope has ran. Nothing can be done for this folly of God That should have been cast out of mind, not out of the garden. It merely made the criminal harden. Yes, criminals are humanity too; Deep down you knew it to be true. They kill, just like you, the ones that others love, And no effort for salvation is sent from above. So many times has the light tried to show itself to we, But, like the rhinoceros, man is far too blind to see. We are facing extinction at our own hand, much like they. Civilization is such a high price to pay. Swept away like a steamer by a wave. Nothing left to conquer, nothing left to save. For lost is society, that thing that unites. Naive that we are, it swept away our rights, Like a steamer by a wave. The individual is all that remains when gone are the tides. Yet it still gives rise to the next step in the process. "Every man for himself," as the saying goes. "Every thorn for itself," so saith the rose. When divided against each other we are weak. Perhaps this is why the Earth is inherited by the meek. They sit and they watch as the world goes by, Never intervening in a husband's rage, or a wife's cry. How could they be the ones who rule all around? Forget the meek. They will be buried in the ground Before the fates have left this place, And all dreams are lost from the face Of the Earth. Gaia...do you hear me? It is I, the seeker of souls, the destroyer of life. Mankind is my name, and greed is my knife. I will cut you open and devour your womb, And leave you to die in this forgotten tomb Of Eternity. Eternity, Eternity, lost is Eternity. Found is nothingness, but nothingness cannot be found. Lost is Eternity, but it makes not a sound Coming up through the ground. Yet I still know, as a circle is round, That lost is Eternity. Reason and doubt will be the first to vanish. The polar opposites that they are, They will not travel far along that path of emotion As the waves still crash down from the ocean. Next to go will be curiosity and those who are apathetic. Followed closely by anger, pride, and despair. Then jealously, paranoia, and shame; gone without a care. Bliss, sorrow, contempt, and lust, Are all swept away in a wind gust, While that of grief is smashed upon a reef, And that of desire is thrown to the fire. Then rage and hate are gone as well, Along with their counterparts, joy and love, cast down into Hell. All that is left is that sensation called fear, Which will accompany us into oblivion without a mere blink, And down into the waste we have created, we will sink. And through our perceived volition, We will think this our mission, That we chose it from the beginning of time, And not think of our crime, upon the world. So, say goodbye to your loved ones, And hold them close to heart, For now has come the moment that we will part. But please remember that this was our doing, And that there were no other forces brewing When we lost the battle between good and evil, And realized in the end that we were both. We fought ourselves and we cannot turn back. No, we cannot turn back, that is a certainty. For as you all know, lost is Eternity... |
