| Biography - Mr. Lowery began serving as a Catechist at Notre Dame High School in the Fall of 2001. He teaches in the Religion Department. The first class he taught at NDHS is the Class of 2004. As a graduate of Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Lowery earned his A.B. in Philosophy through the Archdiocse of Detroit's program for priestly formation. Mr. Lowery has traveled to the missionary parish sponsored by the Archdiocese of Detroit in Recife, Brazil, and been involved in a variety of pastoral ministries including the Archdiocesan Eastside Evangelization Program, Pastoral Care of the Sick for the Cathedral Parish, Christian service outreach at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Recovery From Racisms training, St. Cyril Music Ministry, St. Cyril Worship Commission, St. Cyril Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). During the summer months he works full-time at Crossroads, an ecumenical social service ministry originally founded by the Episcopal Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, Detroit, but now supported by many churches throughout Metro-Detroit. He is a member of Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Parish in Taylor, Michigan. Currently Mr. Lowery is as of June, 2004, a novice of the Oblates of St. Francis De Sales, Toledo-Detroit Province. He will study graduate level Theology at the University of Toronto-St. Michael's College beginning in the Fall of 2005. |
