It's no secret
that Van reaches deep into that marvelous well of inspiration whenever
he returns to Ireland (Witness the recent tree of stunning Irish
shows). His show at the Point Theater in Dublin on August 29, 1992
was no exception.The title of the show is taken from a bit Van does
during Gloria. You'll find Van's elocution lesson as instructive
as it is funny. Lesson 2, given the next night in Belfast will be
offered up in a next tree.This show was taken from an analog cassette
audience recording. It's not soundboard or DAT, but it is very easy
to listen to and has become one of my favorites of the 1992 tour.

Van continued
his elocution lessons the next night in his hometown of Belfast.
It was a cool August Irish night, the band was tight and Van was
enjoying the last day he would be 46. Take a listen, improve your
diction, and grove on a remarkable setlist.
