Hello Friends and Family,
For those who donated to my “Ride to Cure Diabetes,” thanks again! I could not have done it without you! On Saturday, May 15, I rode 102 miles through Monterey, up the coast, and down through Steinbeck’s farmlands. The first 58 miles were a breeze, but the final 44 miles into a 30 mph Pacific headwind almost killed me. It helped that I rode with 135 other people, all of whom either had diabetes or had a personal connection to it. Jesse and I were so glad to be a part of such a dedicated and giving group of people for the weekend. In all, I raised about $3800 from over 60 different donors. That money goes directly towards funding research for finding a cure to diabetes. In total around $600,000 was raised during this year’s JDRF Monterey Ride to Cure Diabetes. If you want a more detailed account of my ride, click here. If you'd like to see a couple more pictures, click here. If you'd like to go to the JDRF's web page, click here. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. :) Kevin
