Some Information to Get to know Mr. Joseph Better... Mr. Joseph was born David Scott Joseph on January 1st, 1967 in San Diego, California to Rita and Bill Joseph. He has 3 brothers, Bill, Gary, and Cy (step-brother). He moved to Talent, Oregon in 1976, then to Medford in 1977, and finally Gold Hill in 1978. He attended Patrick Elementary in 5th and 6th grades, Hanby for 7th and 8th, Scenic for 9th, and graduated in 1985 from Crater High School. Beginning in grade school, Mr. Joseph always had a passion for sports. He played baseball, basketball and football all the way until he graduated. In high school, he was a varsity letterman 2 years in football and 2 years in baseball, earning all-conference honors in baseball his senior year. To this day, he still enjoys watching, playing, and coaching sports and Little League. He has coached high school volleyball and baseball, and junior high volleyball, football, and basketball. After high school, he embarked on a 5 year journey to Oregon State University (Go Beavs!), where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, and graduated with a BA degree in Elementary Education. He spend 2 months in New Zealand after college (just bummin' around), then got hired at Scenic Middle School in Central Point teaching 6th grade after substitute teaching for several months. He taught there for 6 years and moved to Patrick in 1997, the same year Mr. Fauble became principal! He has taught only 4th grade for the past 8 years. He is married to his wife of 10 years, Denise, and has 3 kids: Colin (9), Trenton (6), and Hannah (3). He lives in Gold Hill, has a Beagle named Shiloh, and a cat named Buddy. For fun, he spends time with his family, watches and plays sports, watches movies, and reads. Just recently he received a Master's Degree from Lesley University in Computer Education. Favorite Color: blue Favorite Food: Pizza Favorite Teams: Chargers, Padres, and Trailblazers Favorite Kind of Music: Classic Rock (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Lynard Skynard, Styx etc.) Favorite Actor: Christopher Walken Favorite Movie: School of Rock Jobs Mr. Joseph has had: worker for the city of Gold Hill, painter, waiter, busboy, cook, dishwasher, landscaper, umpire (10 years), orchard cherry-picker, drywaller, hay bucker, coach, tutor, substitute teacher and teacher! My favorite: being a dad and husband!!!! Interesting facts about Mr. Joseph: He has bungy-jumped off of a bridge, ridden in a helicopter, crashed on a motorcycle, and has dressed up as a cow!
