Biography

Hello everyone!  I am currently working as second grade teacher at Miles Avenue School.  Miles Avenue is located in Huntington Park, CA and it is also the biggest elementary in the Los Angeles School District with about 2500 students and 150 teachers.  This is my fourth year as teacher and I am still learning a lot.  I am trying to get my credential by the end of this school year. I only need my student teaching and to pass a test called the MSAT (which is pretty hard).  In my personal life, I went to Roosevelt High School in the heart of East Los Angeles and  attended to  Cal State Los Angeles earning a degree in Psychology.  I also feel very fortunate to be married to a teacher and share different view points in education.  Another joy of my life is the arrival of my newborns twins (boy and girl) who keep me pretty busy.  Some of my hobbies are to listen to Jazz music and do gardening around the house.
