Amy's Version
For those who have already read Jeremy's version of the stroy,  I apologize that my version is not as funny or as interesting as his.

On September 28, 2002, I woke up to celebrate Appleton's great Oktoberfest.  It is a day that Appleton blocks off an entire street for a day of bands, food, craft shows, and beer.  After arriving at the festival, I overheard my friend Dan talk about a friend of his from Madison was going to be joining us for the day...and he would be arriving very shortly!!!  It seemed like an hour and a half later, "this friend" finally arrived.  Dan had introduced his friend to us and followed the introduction with "he is going to be moving to Georgia next month."  With that statement, I immediately thought, "not interested".  Why should I put any effort into getting to know this guy when he is going to be leaving next month?

After several hours went by, Jeremy and I finally had the chance to talk.  He kept on wanting to know about everything in my life.  His favorite saying the day we met was, "Amy, tell me a story."  When the night was coming to a close, we exchanged numbers and decided to keep in touch with each other.

A few days went by and Jeremy finally called and invited me to see him in Madison.  Again, I thought, he is going to be moving, why get emotionally attached to have it all end in a few weeks?  Jeremy convince me to visit him and I am glad he did.  I had a wonderful time in Madison.  It just seemed like things clicked between us.  We decided then and there to date and see where things could be heading.  I went to visit Jeremy every weekend until his designated date to move to Georgia.  The last weekend that we were going to be both going to be living in Wisconsin, Jeremy took me on a weekend trip to Illioins.  We both had a wonderful weekend just because we enjoyed each other's company so much.  Jeremy was unlike any other person I ever met.

Our last good-bye was one of the hardest I had to make.   At one point Jeremy turned his back to me and told me to just go home.  At that point, I know he had tears in his eyes.  (Sorry Jeremy!!!)  I did as well.  The two hour drive home seemed to take longer than usual.  I knew that once he moved to Georgia, it would be harder to keep in touch.  However, on the following Thursday night, Jeremy called me to say that he was going to stay in Madison to see where things went with us.  That poor man.  That last phone call is taking him on long trip down the aisle and hopefully a lifetime filled with love and happiness!!
