Landings 1 & 2 will accommodate up to 4 people. Both cabins have 2 bedrooms (1 double and 2 single beds), bath, living area & kitchen. Each has views of the Moose River and Moosehead Lake. A 120' board walk along the river front has a spectacular view of Mount Kineo and attached docks for your boat or for fishing. The cabins are neat, clean, and have all the ammenities you are likely to need, including cable TV. Boat rentals are available nearby and fishing can be good year-round.
 Click here to see pictures of Landings 1 & 2 "The Bunkhouse" is a much larger cottage with two bedrooms with doubles beds, and a "bunkhouse" with four twin beds and a sleeper sofa. It has the same views and amenities as 1 and 2. Same price plus $10 per additional person per night. Our "Northeast Carry" camp is located at the northeast end of Moosehead Lake and is a beautiful camp that is more secluded. It has gas lights and refrigerator and an outhouse. (No power or running water). It's a beautiful spot for those who want to rough it, and looks down Moosehead Lake at Mount Kineo. It also sleeps 8 to 10 people, and is accessible by boat or the Golden Road (location D-2 on map 49 of DeLorme's Maine Atlas.) Same price as bunkhouse. Rockwood is on the doorstep of the Maine woods. Less than a mile away you can start a sight-seeing adventure on hundreds of miles of gravel roads where moose sightings are nearly guaranteed. This area also has some of the best hunting & fishing in Maine. There are dozens of small ponds & streams nearby and you have access to Moosehead Lake for great salmon, togue & brook trout fishing. |
