More Trailer Shots
Here are another couple of shots that were included in the trailers but left out of the finished film. From the Teaser trailer; a shot of Padmé's starship leaving Mustafar's orbit. And from the Theatrical trailer, an omitted shot/angle from the Duel.
The Emperor Arrives
The Depth commentary available on dvd.starwars.com describes a couple of deleted tidbits from the Emperor's arrival on Mustafar to rescue Darth Vader.
"Scenes were shot of Sidious walking through the complex, and seeing the carnage of the Separatists, but this slowed the story down too much."
There was also originally going to be a shot of Sidious walking down the shuttle ramp after landing but this was cut and the element was instead used for Sidious' arrival at the Rehabilitation Center on Coruscant.
"This element of the Emperor's arrival was actually taken from a planned but cut shot on Mustafar."
Leaving Mustafar
Here are a couple more omitted shots belonging to the sequence of Obi-Wan leaving Mustafar in Padmé's starship as partially seen in the Teaser Trailer. (These pics are from The Prequels Chronicles book.)
