Unlock Secret Games (General / All Games)
To unlock secret games in Sonic Mega Collection, start any of the available games. After the data log is recorded, press Z and select Exit in the in-game menu to quit and return to the Game Select screen. As you continue writing the data logs, after a certain number of times the "Data Log Recorded" screen will stop appearing. When this happens, if you have already cleared the logs of other games, you can unlock five new games, including Blue Spheres, Sonic 2 + Knuckles, Sonic 3 + Knuckles, Flicky, and Ristar.

Unlock Blue Spheres Game
If you insert a Memory Card that contains saved data from Phantasy Star Online, you'll automatically unlock Blue Spheres.

Unlock Flicky Game
If you insert a Memory Card that contains saved data from Sonic Adventure 2, you'll automatically unlock Flicky.

Level Select (Flicky)
Start a new game and hold Up, B, X, and Start before the first round. When the "Round 1" screen appears, release all buttons. You can then select the round you want to begin at by using the Up or Down keys on the D-Pad.

Level Select (Sonic + Knuckles)
Begin the game with Sonic. In the first act of the first zone (Mushroom Hill 1), find a pulley to hang on. Hold the left handle of the pulley and press Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up. You'll hear a tone if you entered the code correctly. Next, return to the title screen by pressing Start to pause the game, then A. When the title screen appears and you can begin the game, hold A and press Start to select a level.

Passwords (Ristar)
Enter the following passwords to unlock the corresponding effect:

Level Select (Sonic 1)
On the title screen, press Up, Down, Left, and Right on the D-Pad. You'll hear a tone if the code was entered correctly. Then hold B and press Start.

Debug Mode (Sonic 1)
On the title screen, press Up, X, Down, X, Left, X, Right, and X. Start the game by holding B, then pressing Start. During the game you can press A to become an object.

Level Select (Sonic 2)
Enter the Options menu from the main menu. Go down to "Sound Test" and play sounds 19, 65, 09, and 17, in that order. You'll hear a tone if you did this right. Now press Start with the "Sound Test" option still highlighted. Return to the main menu, hold B and press Start.

Super Sonic (Sonic 2)
On the Level Select screen, highlight "Sound Test" and select sounds 04, 01, 02, and 06, in that order. Collect 50 rings in any stage and then jump up. You will become Super Sonic.

Debug Mode (Sonic 2)
On the Level Select screen, highlight "Sound Test" and select sounds 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, and 04, in that order. Debug Mode will now be enabled when you begin the game.

Level Select (Sonic 3)
When Sonic appears after the Sega logo displays, quickly press Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up on the D-Pad. On the main menu screen, scroll down to a newly-opened "Options" menu (it should be below Competition if you entered the code correctly).

Debug Mode (Sonic 3)
After entering the Level Select code above, enter the Options menu, highlight any stage, hold B and press Start.

Level Select (Sonic Spinball)
At the Options menu, press B, Down, A, Down, X, Down, B, A, Up, B, X, Up, A, X, and Up. Return to the main menu. The button you hold down when pressing Start will determine the level you go to when you start the game. To go to level 2, hold down B. To go to level 3, hold down A. To go to level 4, hold down X.

Level Select (Sonic 2 + Knuckles)
At the Options screen, go to Sound Test and play sounds 01, 09, 09, 04, 01, 00, 01, and 08, in that order.

Chaos Emeralds (Sonic 2 + Knuckles)
At the Options screen, go to Sound Test and play sounds 01, 06, 07, 07, 07, 02, 01, and 06, in that order.

Level Select & Sound Test (Sonic 3 + Knuckles)
Begin the game as Sonic. In the first stage of the game, hang on any swing and press Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up. You'll hear a tone if the code was entered correctly. Next, return to the title screen by pressing Start to pause the game, then B. Now you'll be able to access a new menu where you can play sounds and choose levels to play.

Level Select (Sonic 3D Blast)
On the title screen, press A, B, Right, B, X, Up, Down, B. Press Start when the main menu screen appears to access a level select menu.

Enter the following passwords to skip to the corresponding level. Make sure you enter the password that corresponds to your difficulty level.
