Play With Sonic & Tails
To have Tails as a partner, go to the Character Select screen and enter Up, Right, Down, Right, L, Right, R, Right, A. During code entry, the highlighted character should shift to Sonic. Once you have begun the game, Tails will appear as Sonic's partner. He can help you beat enemies, but you won't be able to control him.
