In the Apple Market, find the empty soda can near the trash can at the S door. Kick the can behind the counter of the Jetlag Bakery to win 1000 zenny. If you come back into the Apple Market again later, you can repeat the cheat again for more money.

Become Dark Mega Man
To turn yourself a shade of black, kick the vending machines around town or in the Yass Plains until they explode. After you kick the can behind the Jetlag Bakery a few times, you may turn darker as well. You don't turn completely dark instantly - it is a gradual change.

Become Dark Mega Man Instantly
If you don't like gradual change, then this code is for you. First, when you learn about the robbery and the car chase later in the game, head to Downtown and join the policemen in their pursuit. Once you've retrieved the cash from the broken-down car, leave Downtown with it. Not only will you turn black, but you'll get a hefty sum of money! However, townspeople won't talk so nicely of you anymore. But that doesn't appear to have any effect on the game.

Check Trash Cans Easily
To see if a trash can has an item of use or a refractor shard inside, kick it. If the trash can has something inside, it will shake. If the trash can is empty, the top will pop off.
