Summary of Skills

I have 3 years graphic design experience in both print and web design and have a deep understanding of both media. In addition I offer strong organizational and time-management skills, the ability to learn quickly and work efficiently, great communication skills and the ability to work well in teams. I have a thorough command of most design-oriented applications.

Work Experience

Freelance designer (1987 to present)

I have been working as a freelance designer and consultant on a full-time basis since 1996. Clients include: AT&T, McDonalds, Amazon.com, MGM Studios, The Gap, and others.

Incredible Studios; Creative Director (June 1995 - June 1996)

Tasks also included producing graphics for a weekly web magazine and management and art-direction of in-house and freelance designers.

Hip Little Publishing Company; Senior Graphic Designer (Oct. 1992 - June 1995)

While at Hip Little Publishing Co., I designed book interiors, book covers, and brand collateral. I also worked as the lead designer and production manager of a unique cookbook series. Eventually, my responsibilities grew to include the design of the company's breakthrough electronic publishing ventures.

Big Old Publishing Company, Professional Division; Production Supervisor (Oct. 1988 - Oct.1992)

I was responsible for all aspects of production, from initial design through final printing. It was here that I became a power-user of Macintosh tools to design and produce book covers, develop interior designs, produce newsletters, and create technical illustrations and charts.

University Graphic Services; Graphics Assistant (1986-1987)

Aided staff designers with design and production of newsletters, logo design, posters, etc.
