Why must it be this way?

My mind wanders endlessly

Turning down path lead astray

I wish my soul to be free

The dead ends make me backtrack

The journey is harrowing

Trails of faded dismay

They consume and divide, broken by the truth

Broken by the Light of Denial

Engulf by my madness
