I caught the tail end of a news report about how Muslims are being treated in this nation of ours after the attacks. The only instance during this report that I was uplifted was at the end, when it was stated that most Americans were being more kind than usual.
I'd like to state that to generalize a people is to act like nazi Germany and parts of the U.S. during World War II. Its appauling to hear of this, but I'm not in the least bit surprised, sadly.
I'd like to state on my own behalf that to generalize is wrong, and we as a nation, founded on religious and personal freedom should not persicute any one people. There is no basis for it, there is no need for it, and it is as Un-American as one could get! I would refuse to stand by anyone and call them brother if they choose to be a bigget and completely ignorant. Do yourselves a favor... read, study. Do not fear what you don't understand, understand what you don't understand and fear out of ignorance. What would it hurt to read about a culture, or maybe even talk to someone that follows it. I garentee you will be pleasantly surprised.
As I read the news articles presented by various news organizations reporting threats of relatiation to the U.S. and any surrounding countries that aide the U.S. from Taliban ruled Afghanistan. Their growls are seeming like whines and pleas, whines and pleas that those Americans that were injured and killed could not, and can not make. I read those reports as the hours pass, closer to the time I was supposed to go on vacation to Seattle.
If I could sit across from the leaders of Afghanistan and tell them my thoughts, I'd say the following;
"Gentlemen. You defend a criminal. He is indeed a criminal, and by his own admission."
"He took credit for the bombings of the two U.S. embassies abroad, and the attack apon the U.S.S. Cole. I find it remarkable that you still stand by this sorry excuse for a free thinking multicellular being. But your begging that he was involved in this is weak and ill-founded. May Mohammad, or whomever you pray to not take the least amount of pitty upon your souls as you are tortured for eternity in the here-after. May you countrymen condemn your actions, and foolheartiness."
"If you are lucky at all, your citizens will see you're grave mistake of harbouring this convict, and hopefully soon to be casualty, and over-throw you and push Osama bin-Laden to the U.S. And maybe only half of your ruling party will perish. And even then, it will be more civil than anything you would receive as a gift from the great country of The United States and their people."
"As I leave you now, I want to thank you. If it was not for Osama ben-Laden and you, the world might have let you live for years to come. But now, we may rid this planet of a plague. Take heart, you instilled fear into the people of America, but I don't think the fear you intended. This fear has been redirected, redirected to unity and strength. Anything you may throw at us, will be very little in comparison to what awaits you. I bid you fair well, and may your eyes see Old Glory, The Stars and Stripes wave in the sun, steaked deep into your soil."
As I sit here, I listen to the thunder of an incoming storm.
I've felt sorrow and pitty for those that have felt the still of war in their own homes, but now I down right sympathize.
I cowar and nearly shake as I hear what sounds like bombs exploding outside my window. I feel violated, vulnerable, and overall angry. I say "How dare they do this to me! How dare they make me fear in my own home!"
Never again shall this happen... I can only hope that after this display, terrorism itself will fear. Terrorism will be extinct. Be proud of who you are, and show it, but not in ways of hate or anger, but with mutal respect.
Civil wars around the world were televised here in the states, and most of us grimmaced and cringed. Most of us have families, friends or friends of friends here and there around the world. When New York was attacked, they attacked everyone, including themselves. New York is a representation of the world. New York is a model of the world, therefore, a fair part of the world was just demolished.
Take heart, you attackers, you succeeded, but you are now to fear the wrath of the world upon you, and your aides. I can only feel� heart-felt sorrow for you, for this marks the end of your existance.

In the darkest hour of the nation of The United States (My United States). I hear and see broadcasts of a brotherhood throughout the country and throughout the world.
When I hear those broadcasts, I get choked up and undeniably angry. Why did something like this have to produce a unity that should normally take place?
Later today (September 13th), I go back to work. Yeah, I may not work as close to the site as some people. But the view that I had when I walked down the side of the Hudson River, the view of the skyline of the heart of America will now have a gash in it. No matter what building or buildings are put there, the scare will remain and never heal.�
I for one, still can not believe this happened. And I, like the hundreds of� thousands of New Yorkers and New Jersians, and the family of America will NEVER forget this tragedy.
I ask from my brothers and sisters, in the country and around the world, that we take pause. Mourn, take heart to know that life will prevail and our love will continue. We the American people may have taken our freedom for granted, but we pride ourselves on that ideal. FREEDOM!
We march on, we shall overcome, we will be strong and solid.
I may be one person, but I'm sure the fellowship that is America will agree with me when I say "Thank you". Thank you to the nations that share our dispare and sorrow. Thank you for showing us support in our time of need and pain. Thank you.
