The sun will come out tomorrow…or not!

Today is a rainy, dreary day. I checked the Met Office’s forecast, and it looks like the rain will persist on and off for most of the week! Of course, this might not be entirely true, as I’ve decided that the Met Office has no idea what they’re talking about. Every time that I check their forecast and prepare accordingly, they’re wrong! Of course, being a former meteorologist, I am allowed to criticize the forecasting abilities of others! Lol. So anyways, it looks like I’m going to have a soggy journey on Wednesday. What’s that you ask…what is happening on Wednesday? Well, I’m going to Denmark of course!!! Yeah…only 3 days left until I depart Scotland for lands unknown. I’m so unbelievably excited. Plus, who wouldn’t be chuffed to get to celebrate their birthday in a foreign country? Hmm, that makes me think (as I am currently living in a foreign country)…I have never even celebrated my birthday in Scotland as yet (I went back to the States last year). How sad. Ah well, that will have to wait until next year. As it stands, I will mourn (oh, uh, yeah, I mean celebrate) my 27th birthday in Denmark. It will definitely be something to remember. Next year will be difficult to top, even though it will be my ‘golden birthday’ (you know, the year when your birth date is the same as your age?).

I went to go see Ocean’s 13 the other day, using my free ticket to the Vue that I got when I saw Pirates of the Caribbean. Eh. It wasn’t great, but it was 100% better than Ocean’s 12 (that movie was horrendously terrible!). Luckily, neither Julia Roberts nor Catherine Zeta Jones appeared in this movie, which I believe contributed greatly to its improvement! I would still vote Ocean’s 11 the best of the trilogy, but this one is actually worth spending a couple of bucks (or pounds, as it were) to go see in the cinema. Just don’t be prepared for the movie of a lifetime…it’s mediocre entertainment at best.

Well, I don’t really have much more to say…I just wanted to give an update about my imminent departure for Denmark. I probably won’t be updating this blog until after I get back on 3 July. I hope to have some amazing photos to show all of you upon my return to Scotland though. So, I wish you all an enjoyable end of June and I will see you (okay, I won’t actually ‘see’ you, but you know what I mean!) in a week. Auf wiedersehen.
