Though his brief career in television is over, last year, Dave wrote and hosted several interstitial segments for Rogers Television's "Your Ottawa". They aired throughout the Rogers schedule in fall 2006.

On April 30, 2005, Dave hosted his second episode of BOB TV for CHUM media and The New RO .

In 2001- 2002 Dave hosted the comedy show "Condensed Classics with Dave Shaw" for Movieola: The Short Film Channel. The show has been described as "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" meets The Rat Pack, and had Dave as host of exploitation classics like 'Terror of Tiny Town' and 'Night of the Living Dead'. 26 episodes were produced, and aired for close to three years on Movieola and its sister station Silver Screen Classics.
