Ok, so I’ve rediscovered Green Day…so you’ll be reading a lot of Green Day references. It was a crazy/extremely stressful weekend, so my creative juices are “gone”…I’ll try my best (if you wanna read my journal, please do www.ujournal.org/users/sniffy) And I’m sorry but this chapter has to be short because I went to the doctors today because my hands have been shaky and he said I have to cut back on caffeine/amount of time I type. SORRY!! And plus, its just a filler chapter…Oh and its from the narrators POV still…

Chapter 21 – I’m a Skanker!

(Still at the club)

Joel pulled Maddie closer as he whispered words in her ear. She giggled while resting her head on his shoulders and blushed. Joel pulled away and started at her attentively; while tracing her jaw line with his finger. He leaned in slowly and gently kissed her on her lips.

“What was that for?” Maddie asked

“Nothing, for you being you...” Joel blushed because of how corny that sounded, and Maddie knew it.

“Well then, if that’s what I get for being me, I wonder what you’re gonna get for being you.”

            “Stuff?”

“Oh yes.” Maddie giggled at how lame that sounded, but Joel didn’t seem to mind. She wrapped her arms around his neck and deeply kissed him, as he slowly moved his hands around her waist.

“Aww! Look at them!” Emily squealed while watching Joel and Maddie.

            “Ewww, that’s gross!” Benji screamed.

“That’s because he’s your brother!” Emily rolled her eyes.

“Yes…so lets not watch them.” Benji looked Emily in the eyes, “Lets go make out!”

The two ran off to a secluded corner in the club.

Billy rested his head in his right hand, “Oh man, I miss those days.”

“Yeah, me too,” Amber replied, “So where’s your girlfriend tonight?” Amber was twiddling her thumbs nervously.

            “What girlfriend?”

“Oh man, how can you not have a girlfriend?” Amber widened her eyes.

“Easy,” Billy paused and looked down, “She used me.”

            “Ah man, I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be…I’m not.” Billy raised his head and looked at Amber.

Amber turned to Billy and placed a hand on his shoulder ((they’re sitting next to each other)). “Come on, let’s dance.”

“Nah…” Billy paused, “I’m not much of a dancer.”

“Neither am I—I’m a skanker!” Amber said while slowly nodding her head.

Billy and Amber laughed at how ridiculously bad that sounded.

“Well, in that case, how can I resist?” the two wandered off to the dance floor, and got lost in the sea of people.

Hailey woke up the next morning curled into a ball trying not to wake Paul. As she anxiously waited for 9 o’clock, she couldn’t help but smile. When 9o’clock came she rolled over to find Paul missing, but a paper rolled up in a ring left on his pillow. She slid the gold ring with a leaf design engraved in it  off the paper, grasping it tight and reading the note.

            Dear Hailey,

I love you more than you could ever possibly know. I’m sorry for not being there this morning, but I had to go to a promo thing at 8:30 and I didn’t want to wake you. I found this ring, which made me think of you. I was thinking that maybe you could wear it as a promise ring.

            Now I cannot speak

            I've lost my voice

I'm speechless and redundant 'cause I love you's not enough

I'm lost for words

                                                Love,

                                                Paul ”

((^^Green Day reference))

Hailey smiled as she placed the ring on her nightstand and got up to take a shower.
