ALT Tags are extra tags that you can put in your IMG SRC Tags that will give alternate descriptions of your images for your visitors that do not have images loaded or are browsing using text-based browsers (like Lynx). Useful for robot (search engine) indexing, people who surf with graphics turned off and those on slow connections, who use talking browsers, screen readers, text browsers or browsers on small devices.
