1. The command for changing background color is inserted within the your webpage's BODY tag right after the </HEAD> tag. To change just the background color, enter this coding:
2. Now you need to choose a color that you would like the background of your page to be. The best thing about choosing a background color is that you can change it any time you want. If you inserted the above coding in your webpage, you will notice that nothing happens when you viewed it that is because "######" is not a code that a browser recognizes. You will need a code that tells the browser what color to use. A 6-digit code will go in place of the "######" in the above command. The technical term for this 6-digit code is a Hex Code.
Hex codes are not very user friendly and you need a chart to let you know what code makes what color. I've have included some basic color codes and a link for a more detailed or special colors(below). There are actually over a thousand hex codes producing every imaginable shade of red, or yellow, or whatever.
Be sure to enclose your Hex codes inside the quotation marks! Simply insert the code into the command and place the attribute on the page inside the <BODY> tag.
The code for a white background will look like this:
You can also just type in the basic color that you want for a background for instance:
You can customize the back ground color of your webpage, just be changing some of the numbers in your Hex code
