Mission San Buenaventura

Thank you for getting mission San Buenaventura. The mission is a very famous mission. And you are going to be reading about this mission. You will be reading about the things that happened there. You could start now. In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, Go!

Mission San Buenaventura has been where it is for a very long time.  Junipero Serra founded it. Do you know who Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo is? I will tell you. He told Junipero Serra to find missions.

The Indians that lived there are called Chumash.  They were the first one to live there. They lived there long time ago. But now they are dead. Some got sick and died. And in the end they all died together.

In those days California was part of New Spain. Spain wanted all of the gold. So they came. So that Spain wouldn’t come over here they built the missions.  The missions are like a wall.  That is why they built the missions.  I have to tell you some thing very important.

People think that the missions were destroyed, but mission San Buenaventura was not destroyed.  It was only burned down. It has been destroyed, but that time has past. The Indian fixed the mission.

Now I’m going to tell you what is happening today. I’m not telling about the past, but rather, like today. There are no more Indians. Now it is us, people are now visiting the mission. And on Ventura Street there is traffic.  The people in Ventura and from all over California are visiting the mission.

Now that you know the story it had happened in life, maybe you will like to tell it to people. This can tell about this mission because this story can help the people for their reports.  And this is the end. Thank you for reading this story.
