San Gabriel Arcangel
In my report I’m going to tell you about a mission I like a lot. The most important thing is who founded the mission. What I like the most of Mission San Gabriel is in the first paragraph. When they build the mission there were Indians building it. The other important thing is how they make a lot of money. Get ready to listen to my report.
On September 8th,
1771 Frays combo ant somera founded the forth mission and named it San Gabriel Arcángel after saint Gabriel, god’s messenger angel. He founded it
one side that was chosen before by father serra.ther were several earthquakes
while they stayed ther, so they named the river Rio San Gabriel de Los
temblores (River of earthquakes). Under
the direction of the friars, and with the help of the Christi Indians, copied from the catredal of
Cordova in Spain. Excellent vineyards gave wine for the priests’ tonse and to
sell. They also sell wheat and corn and grapping land develop huge hertz of
cattle and sheep. In the fields they grew corn wheat burley lentils garbanzo
beans and cotton on the farm. Nine
years the mission’s bells are very silent. The bulding in very old ant the
bells damage.
