Hi, I’m going to tell you about our mission, Mission Santa Inés.  First, I am going to tell you where it is located, which Indians lived there and historical information.     Santa Inés is located in the southern part of the state. It is between Missions Santa Barbara and San Luis Cabrillo. It was located there because the Missions where far away.      The Indians who lived there at Santa Inés are called Alajupapu.

Father Estevan Tapis founded Mission Santa Inés. He founded it on September 17 out of adobe bricks.   Our mission was named after an angel named Saint Agnes.

Our mission is known because on December 21, 1812 there was a humongous earthquake. Many houses and a church collapsed. The earthquake destroyed more than 8 years of hard work.

Our mission made money by selling crops and they would graze them. Then they will sell to the poor for whatever they had so they can eat food and live. Our mission Santa Inés has low flat land. Also it has a big field of wheat, 1,000 of people are married or babies are baptized at mission Santa Inez. That is how our mission is today.  I just told you everything you need to know for mission Santa Inés.  This has been a Juan Arévalo and Chewy production.
