In the history of California there have been a lot of different things that have happened.  I am going to tell you about my mission. I am going to tell you all about my mission. My mission name is San Francisco de Asis.  You will like my information.

       The name was after the founder of the Francisco religions order, saint Francis of Assisi. That is why they named the mission San Francisco de Assisi.

       To get to my mission is 1 hour and 30 minutes.  You go south to get to San Francisco.  Then you go to Sixteenth Street.  Then you look for the number 3321 in that Street.

       My mission was made in October 9, 1776.  The mission is the best mission I have.

       My mission was made of adobe.  It is 114 feet long and 22 feet wide.  It has tile roof and tile floors.  The mission is big.

       The Indians that lived there were call Costanoan.  They were the ones that lived in my mission.

       In 1845 the mission lands sold during the next few years the land was used for bull and bear fights, duels horse racing and taverns.

       Nothing was ever the same after the discovery of gold in California.  The population of the sleepy pueblo rose from a mere 900 to 20,000 in only a year.

 

The people stopped at San Francisco de Asis. This changed the mission forever.
