| Earthbound Zero/ Mother | |||||||||||||
| Mother, or Earthbound Zero, is an RPG set in the mid 1980's, unlike your other RPG, this game doesn't have weapons like swords and shields, instead it has baseball bats and frying pans, and has hamburgers and not potions. The basic story is, a young boy sets out on a quest to stop a powerful being known as Giegue from taking over the world, along the way he meets other friends to help his journey, Lloyd, a smart, but very weak boy, Ana, a girl very strong in the art of PSI, and Teddy, a gang leader who's parents were killed by an evil robot. On his journey he visits strange lands, Spookane, a town inhabited by ghosts, Magicant, a strange place with very weird people and monsters. The monsters you encounter can be normal things like crows and stray dogs, or really weird things like flying saucers or robots. You will also encounter strong boss like enemies like Starmen, creatures sent by Giegue to destroy you, or huge frikkin robots, and of course Giegue himself. There are only two ways to get this game, Move to Japan and see if you can get a copy of it, or for people can't do that, you could try to find a ROM of this game like I did (Don't ask for it, cuz I ain't gonna give it to you) But if you do get the ROM of it, it will be WELL worth is, this game is my favorite RPG of all time! So I command you to get the ROM NOW!! Graphics:|B-| The graphics for this game are okay, but nothing too great, even when this game first came out the graphics weren't that great, but who cares graphics aren't everything... Sound/Music:|A+| Sound: The sound is okay, nothing great, mostly small things like when you smack a monster, or cast a spell, blah blah blah... Music: Now THIS is where the game really shines, the music in this game is the BEST EVER! You can't find a game with better music(Earthbound for the SNES is close, but like 0.5 points away from the music here) The music in this game is ULTRA awesome, my personal favorite is Pollyanna, the music is very hard to explain, you would have to hear it for yourself, try going to starmen.net and listing to it. Gameplay:|A| The gameplay is good, all the buttons respond relitivally well, the only bad this is that, sometimes when you try to talk to someone they move... Overall:|A| I strongly recommend that any RPG players out there go out and play this game... By BlackMageofPain |
