Tracy plays Marlee, a teenager
whose evil stepsister (played by Sally Kellerman) is after her inheritance.
Roddy McDowall plays Sally's evil doctor boyfriend who drugs Tracy, in
the hopes of making her seem crazy so they can send her to the mental hospital.
She turns to the mirror for help, which is actually the worst thing she
could have done.
As
for the movie itself, I can't really say that it's bad, and I can't really
say it's very good. Well, it ain't no Gladiator, or course. But I
thought it was OK, and I enjoyed watching it. I can say that
it's not as bad as many of the reviews I have read so far.
There are some awkward moments in the film, but Tracy comes out actually
good and convincing in her role. I admit it was pretty strange seeing
Tracy in a non-Mr. Belvedere role. It was quite a surprise to see her acting
and doing things that she'd never do in the show. Her lovemaking
scene with the mirror was very strange, but it was definitely hot!
She does a lot of running, and a lot of dancing, which she does really
well. We got to see her dance on the show several times, but here
she shows just how good she is. It's great to see her again, after
missing her a lot from the show. Tracy looks really beautiful in
this film, more so than any time she was on the show. Many times I just
can't take my eyes off her.
As an added bonus to Mr. Belvedere
fans, the film also includes Lois Nettleton as one of the nuns who run
the orphanage where Tracy and her little brother stay in. Lois Nettleton
appeared on Mr. Belvedere as a daytime TV talk show host (in the vein of
Oprah) who has the hots (and the lusts) for George.
Tracy doesn't get cover credits
on the DVD, which is a shame, since she literally carries the film on her
shoulders. The other actors, although more popular, are playing roles supporting
to her. If you are a Mr. Belvedere fan, and more specifically, a
Tracy Wells fan, this DVD or VHS, is definitely worth owning. If you want
